Oh, Mexico. So beautiful and full of culture. You were my home for seventeen years and somehow I'm back, realizing how brutally lovely you are after being to other parts of the world. It took me a trip to the other half of the world to love you.
After being in Europe and the United States for so long, I finally realize why many people are so infatuated with Mexico. While living here, it was hard to see it because these things were what I saw every day and routine kills beauty.
Yesterday I went to Metepec and I was just mesmerized with how pintoresque and beautiful the village is. This is not a place where a lot of tourists go to, but if you find yourself in Mexico City, I highly suggest you take a daytrip to Metepec. It is about an hour drive away.
